The Interior Ministry cited a lawsuit and ongoing investigation filed against Stream on charges of “membership of a terrorist organisation” and “propaganda for a terrorist organisation” as reasons for his dismissal.
DEM party co-chairman Tancer Bakirhan responded to the issue by saying, “We reject this coup, this trusteeship and sworn anti-Kurdish mentality. We will never impose our will on anyone.”
Following this development, the DEM Party Central Executive Committee met on a special agenda. Deputy leader of the People’s Equality and Democratic Party (DEM Party) group, Güristan Kılıç Kotsit, announced the decision of the party’s Central Executive Committee regarding Hakkari’s developments. The DEM Party has launched a vigilant action against Stream’s dismissal and the appointment of an administrator.

Hakkari Co-Mayor Mehmet Suduk Koşuk, who was detained in Van and replaced by the Ministry of Interior receiver, was sentenced to 19 years and 6 months in prison during a hearing of the case at the Hakkari 1st High Criminal Court. Following this verdict, the court decided to arrest Stream. DEM Party co-chairman Turay Hatimoulari responded to the decision by saying, “Today, another AKP coup has been written into history. In response, he said, “The palace is currently waging war against the Turkish people. We will never accept this.
