(ABC 6 News) – This National Travel and Tourism Week, Clear Lake will launch the Clear Lake History Ride, taking locals and visitors on an interactive journey.
The ride spans 22 kilometers around the lake and will be fun for history buffs and those who simply want to soak in the beauty of the city, according to a press release from the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism.
From famous landmarks to quirky locations, three national historic sites, one national monument, and gorgeous scenery, your adventure begins at Clear Lake City Park. Riders set out on a tour of discovery using History Ride’s mobile friendly website as a guide. .
“We are pleased to introduce the Clear Lake History Ride as a tribute to National Travel and Tourism Week,” said Clear Lake Tourism Director Libby Horn. “The historical tours have been very popular and this fun tour around the lake has something to see and learn at each location. We want to encourage people to explore Clear Lake in an engaging way.”
Participants can access the Clear Lake History Ride Tour on their mobile devices here or by scanning QR codes placed on posters around town, giving visitors the freedom to explore at their own pace.
