Charlie Sheen revealed on TV that he had undergone plastic surgery on his neck.
The 58-year-old actor recently guest-starred in two episodes of “Bookie,” a comedy series from “Two and a Half Men” creator Max, reuniting him with Chuck Lorre. In a recent interview with Deadline, Sheen recalled not being happy with his appearance when he watched the episode with the show’s cast and crew on a “giant screen” at Warner Bros. studios.
“I was so focused on one physical feature of mine and I had to fix it, and it was my neck,” Sheen said.

He continued: “You watch a very fat person lose all that weight and their neck still looks like a round turkey.”

“It’s saggy and floppy,” Sheen added. “You look at it and you’re like, Oh my god, oh my god. That’s how it feels.”
The “Wall Street” star explained that rather than continue to dwell on it, she decided to take action immediately and contacted a plastic surgeon.
“I could have stayed upset about it or I could have immediately started working on a solution. So I looked at this on Monday night, was on the phone with the doctor on Tuesday morning and scheduled this,” he said.

Sheen said seeing himself on screen gave him no hesitation about whether to undergo plastic surgery.
“It was either that or I go get a turtleneck,” he joked. “I’m going to do it in two weeks. Two weeks. But the next morning I was like, I don’t want to see that shit again. People shouldn’t see that shit.”
Sheen continued, “The downside of not being in front of a camera for 10 years is that you look at yourself in the mirror every day and you’re like, OK, I’m holding up. It’s your morning conversation with yourself: Yeah, I’ve got to live with this. But it made me realise that the last 10 years haven’t been so friendly.”
The Golden Globe winner was referring to an episode from the show’s eighth season, “Two and a Half Men,” in which his character, Charlie Harper, sneaks off to Las Vegas to undergo cosmetic surgery.
“Shenkman,” Sheen said, referring to Dr. Shenkman, the fictional cosmetic surgeon who appears in the episode. “Exactly. And if people say, ‘Oh yeah, I said I would do it and I did,’ then so be it.”
Sheen said he wanted to have the surgery not out of vanity, but so that his neck would not be a distraction to viewers.
“And I’m not embedding anything,” he added. “I’m just smoothing out some stains. Yeah, it really bothered me.”

Sheen told Deadline that he wanted to speak openly about his plans to eradicate the stigma surrounding plastic surgery.
“Nobody talks about this these days, so I feel like I need to talk about it,” Sheen said, “so leave it to this guy.”

Sheen isn’t the only member of his family to have opted for plastic surgery: In November, his daughter, Sami Sheen, a star on Anger Management, opened up about her experience getting breast implants.
Sheen has two daughters, Sami and Lola, 18, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and daughter Cassandra, 39, with ex-wife Paula Profitt. Sheen and ex-wife Brooke Mueller have 14-year-old twins, Max and Bob.

Sheen’s appearance in Bookie will mark the first time he and Lawrie have worked together since he left Two and a Half Men in 2011.
Sheen was fired from the show in season 8 after making a series of derogatory comments about Lorre. At the time, Sheen had been in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction and was facing allegations of abuse from multiple women.
In an interview with Deadline, Sheen explained that he sees his return to TV as a chance to show how he’s changed since he last worked with Lorre.
“It was an audition for responsibility, accountability and professionalism,” Sheen said. “I was always the first one to arrive and the last one to leave.”

He continued, “I want to be that guy again, so I came back to ‘Bookie’ and I ticked all the boxes. I did it to prove that I would do what was asked of me, and do it the way I’d been programmed to do it for so long.”

“It was really exhilarating to get those muscle groups activated again,” Sheen added. “And again, we were back to normal. The shorthand between Chuck and I. We were right back to the shorthand we once had.”
Sheen explained that Lorre doesn’t give the actors “a lot of direction.”

“He lets his actors do what they want, because that’s why he got the job,” Sheen said. “He respects that, and he brings one very specific thing, and he’s always right. It’s kind of frustrating. He’s always right. And then you do that and you’re like, ‘Of course. Okay, I see, why didn’t I notice that?’
“But you can’t think about everything all the time,” he continued. “I think he was going through the same thing. I was just feeling what it was like, that energy I had before again. So, I was excited.”
