Cabinet meeting ended
Regardless of whether we are in opposition or support, we, as 85 million people, believe that the ideals of the new constitution must be realized in the new century. We ourselves do not want this. Turkey needs this and our country needs this too. Future generations deserve to be governed by a liberal constitution. Political institutions have the power to create a civil constitution, social obedience, representativeness, and maturity. Turkish democracy must complete its cleansing with the coup tradition by introducing a new civilian constitution in our country.
President announces one day of national mourning Recalling his telephone conversation with Vice President Mohammad Muhbil during a cabinet meeting, President Erdoğan said, “At the cabinet meeting, we have decided to declare one day of national mourning in our country.” Stated. We once again extend our condolences to our Iranian compatriots, as we share the deep pain that the Iranian people have experienced. ”
Relations with Greece
We are pleased that our contacts with Greece have increased within the framework of Neighborhood Law, without the need for third party intervention. Of course, not all problems can be resolved in just a few meetings. But we will not stop seeking compromise on issues of common interest. We recognize that this is a process that requires patience and wisdom. It turns out that Mr. Michitakis feels the same way we do. I would like to move forward with the process with determination, while being aware of the risks. The distance we have achieved with Greece in a short period of time should serve as an example for other countries in our region. Turkiye does not and will not leave his hands in the air. There is no problem that cannot be resolved based on mutual respect and understanding. We once again demonstrated our willingness to develop cooperation with another neighboring country, Georgia, during the visit of our esteemed Prime Minister and his delegation. We look forward to receiving even more support from Georgia in the fight against organized crime and FETO. It was very meaningful to us that the Prime Minister agreed with our opinion.
Explanation about lifestyle
How fortunate we are to have such a deep-rooted tradition and culture that values the family, cares for family life and considers the family sacred. The importance that our faith places on the family is also contained in Article 41 of the Constitution. Our Constitution, which stipulates that the foundation of Turkish society is the family, lists one by one the state’s obligations to protect the family. The state’s responsibilities are expressed in detail in a wide range of areas, from the fight against epidemics that directly threaten human and family health, such as alcohol, intoxicants and drugs, to the protection of mothers and children. For us, it is essential to preserve the family, family structure and family values. The family is our strongest bulwark against cultural imperialism. However, we have observed in recent years that threats to the family have increased. Mass media publications that ignore family values lead to a process of moral and cultural decay. The diversification of contingencies associated with globalization exposes the family, which is the backbone of society, to many risks. Society is aging in many parts of the world. The number of people choosing to live alone and the divorce rate are increasing, while the marriage rate and the associated number of children per household are decreasing. For families, having children has become a situation that is constantly postponed. While the number of marriages and birth rates are decreasing, the number of single parents or broken families is increasing day by day. It becomes even more difficult to experience the warmth of family and grow up under the umbrella of family protection. Unfortunately, we too are negatively affected by this global trend. We saw this again in the TÜİK data released last week. The Turkish Statistical Institute’s birth statistics for 2023 are alarming. Along with this, the birth rate, which was 2.38 in 2001, fell to 1.51 in 2023.
Türkiye’s population is below the updated standard of 2.1. I say this openly. It is an existential crisis and a disaster for Turkiye. The current situation is no longer acceptable for our country. You know, looking at this picture, we always recommend her three children. Our advice has been criticized many times. Unfortunately, over time, our predictions proved correct. The importance of our call to raise at least her three children is even better understood today. We need to realize this once and for all. Our population is our greatest strength as a nation and we must protect it. In the future, I would like to deepen my resolve on this issue. In addition to divorce and marital separation, families are also threatened by global gender neutralization projects. Multinational corporations, institutions, and major governments publicly support desexualization projects. We know that the goals of those funding these movements are not rights and freedoms. The political and economic costs of challenging the legitimacy of deviant movements are increasing. One of the areas where global coercion is most evident is in gender neutralization policies. At last week’s Eurovision contest, we saw once again just how dire this situation has become in the world. It is clear that the strange figures presented as role models to young people under the mask of freedom are Trojan horses of social corruption. At such international events, it has become almost impossible to meet ordinary people in terms of dress, attitude and language.
“We do not consider these actions by local governments to be harmless.”
We better understand what a good decision it was to keep Turkey away from this disgrace over the past 12 years. We will continue to stay on the same line. I would also like to touch on an issue that cannot escape our attention. We see that one of the first actions taken by some local governments that changed government in our country’s March 31 elections was to expand alcohol consumption. With so many problems, expectations and demands in this country, I find these policies both thought-provoking and worrying. With all due respect, the duty of local authorities is not to encourage public drinking or fly journalists to wine festivals on private planes, but to steer people away from alcohol problems. There must be something in it. We do not consider these to be harmless acts. We oppose any policy that threatens the family system and the physical and mental health of individuals. We will not tolerate attempts to corrupt generations. We will continue to work step by step, with a sense of responsibility, individually planning all the tasks assigned to us, in order to establish a strong family structure. The Vision Document and Action Plan for the Protection and Strengthening of Families, which we published on the occasion of International Day of Families on 15 May, is a new symbol of this sensibility.
