A 27,000-square-foot food hall with 12 restaurants, a brewery and private event space is coming to Cocoa Beach.
Cocoa Beach Mercado, described as an upscale food hall, is scheduled to break ground later this year, and owner Daniel Todd, a Cocoa Beach native, hopes to open by Thanksgiving 2025.
“I grew up here. I’m a local. I think the area is hungry for new, innovative ideas. With a food hall, you can try five or 10 different foods, so there’s something for everyone.”
What will be in the food hall “Cocoa Beach Mercado”?
The food hall will have permanent food providers rather than rotating ones.
Todd said the restaurant already has some menu items in mind but isn’t ready to announce them yet, but that it will offer a variety of dishes.
“It’s going to be a big mix and it’s all going to be different,” he told Florida Today. “There’s going to be a real variety of food on offer.”
He’s in negotiations with a brewery that would be a major player in the food hall. The venue will also feature a rooftop bar, a private event space that can accommodate about 125 people and an 8,000-square-foot covered courtyard that will combine open green space, tropical landscaping and multiple water features.
The 3,300-square-foot rooftop bar is located on the third floor overlooking the Banana River.
Where is Cocoa Beach Mercado?
The address is 1325 N. Atlantic Ave. and the lot is currently vacant.
The Cocoa Beach Mercado will be located directly across from a $388 million Westin-branded luxury resort, which is scheduled to break ground by mid-August.
Cocoa Beach Mercado also offers entertainment for families
Todd stressed that the venue would not host concerts, but would instead feature family-friendly entertainment such as small bands, holiday shows and quizzes.
“We want it to be really classy and well-made,” Todd says. “It’s going to be a first-class production.”
Todd also owns 4th Street Fillin Station.
Todd is no stranger to the restaurant industry.
He’s the owner of 4th Street Fillin’ Station, a popular Cocoa Beach restaurant that was once a service and gas station but is now a gastropub serving tacos, bowls and unique desserts.
