After spending three summers in the village of Yesilbashköy because Akároz was cured of his illness, Soyman left Bodrum for Burdur, where he heard the news of Akároz’s death. The death of Soyman’s son is said to have saddened the artist’s loved ones and the residents of the area.
Umran Aqaroz, daughter of master artist Safiye Soiman, announced the news of Harun Aqaroz’s death on her social media accounts with the note: “My brother.”
He described his son Harun in these words:
Safiye Soiman married Ziya Aqaroz, whom he met on a blind date and was engaged to for 15 days, when he was just 13 years old. The singer, who divorced Aqaroz in 1985, has two children, a daughter called Umran (1975) and a son called Harun (1977). Appearing as a guest on a television show last April, the artist made a statement about his son Harun, who has been battling MS for 24 years.
The famous singer shared a memory with his son Harun in an earlier Instagram post, saying:
“Before I got sick, I went to a concert in Dallas, Texas, USA with my son Harun and took a commemorative photo.”
“I call 30 times a day.”
Safiye Soyman said, “My son is in Burdur and the atmosphere there is good. My assistant Bekir took my son to Burdur. There was movement in Harun. We quickly built a house for my son so that he can be comfortable. Summer in Bodrum is hot, but the weather in Burdur is better. For 24 years, I have only my work and my son. “We are always together. When I have work, I call him 30 times a day,” he said.

“He is not alone, either physically or emotionally.”
The well-known artist, who has shared his life with businessman Fayk Öztürk since 1999, stressed that Harun Akaroz’s future is guaranteed.
In my past albums, I have always sung Harun’s favorite songs. I asked my artist friends for permission, and they kindly provided them for free. For Harun, music is like medicine. He never thought, “What if something happens to me?” and always prayed, “I can be with my children.” For him, everything is ready. His future is guaranteed. He is not alone, materially or mentally, and he has a brother, Faiq.

Meanwhile, Safiye Soiman explained how her son developed the disease in an interview in 2018:
“Mom, my legs are tingling.”
Soiman said the course of the illness began with tingling in her son’s legs. “Then he said, ‘Mom, my legs are tingling’. Then he started to get numb. We went to the doctor and they said, ‘There’s nothing’ and I understood. ” “Son, go to the eye doctor. They couldn’t find anything there either. I said, ‘Let’s get an MRI done’. The MRI showed the disease.”

Explaining how doctors diagnosed her son with MS and later researched the disease, Soyman continued, “I asked the doctors, ‘Is this a fatal disease?’ And they said, ‘It’s not cancer. It’s not a tumor,’ and I said, ‘Thank God.’
“My son graduated in tourism but he got sick.”
Stating that his son is a very intelligent child, Soiman said, “My son graduated from the Faculty of Tourism. He got sick but we didn’t lock him at home. He also studied international business from abroad and was close to graduating. He couldn’t. He didn’t get his second diploma yet because he got seriously ill, but he was a multi-talented child.”
