WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — The holiday season is here and that means friends and family traveling far and wide to reunite once again. Here are some tips to help you prepare ahead of your busy travel schedule.
The Connecticut Airports Authority expects 110,000 passengers to use Bradley Airport between December 20 and December 31, with the busiest hours being between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Please arrive early
Plan to arrive at the airport terminal at least 90 minutes before your flight to allow enough time for TSA screening and airline check-in.

Prepare to park
If you are arriving by car, please be sure to check the availability of parking in advance. BDL’s new parking system is called BDL Spark and offers several convenient options with free shuttle service located a short distance from the main terminal. Wrapped gifts can be placed in carry-on or checked luggage, but may be subject to screening by the TSA, which advises travelers to place items in gift bags instead.

“December marks the end of a busy year for us all for travel,” AAE Executive Director Kevin A. Dillon, CAA, said in a statement. “Bradley International Airport now offers more direct flights than it did before the pandemic and has made great strides in improving the travel experience at the airport throughout the year.”
