The fire broke out at around 2:15 p.m. in a forested area in the Pinarbelen region. According to information received, a resident who noticed flames rising from the vicinity reported the situation to the 112 emergency center.

Following the notification, teams from the Muğla Regional Forestry Directorate and the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department were dispatched to the area.

Eight planes, 10 helicopters, 33 water tankers, 10 fire engines, one United Medical Team Kemp (UMKE) vehicle, two ambulances, one TOMA and 16 water tankers have been deployed to the bushfire.
