Though his form has declined this year, Springer has been one of the most productive players of the past decade. Since making his debut in 2014, he has a career batting average of .264 with 252 home runs and 690 RBIs. He is a four-time All-Star, a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner and the World Series MVP (Astros, 2017).
The Blue Jays and Giants are scheduled to finish off their series on Thursday afternoon, with first pitch at 3:45 p.m. ET, when former Giants pitcher Kevin Gausman will face off against right-hander Jordan Hicks, who pitched for the Blue Jays last year.
Gausman has a 6-8 record with a 4.64 ERA, while Hicks has a 4-5 record with a 3.47 ERA.
