CINCINNATI — A comfort food pop-up has opened its first brick-and-mortar location.
San Jeanetta’s Table recently opened at 7714 Montgomery Road, just off Kenwood Mall, and the restaurant will be hosting its official grand opening party on Saturday, July 13th.
San Gianetta is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Chef Dion and Chef Tiffany Metz.
The restaurant began as a pop-up in 2020 and was previously located at Element Eatery food hall in Madisonville. Due to its popularity, the restaurant expanded into a permanent stand at Element Eatery in 2021. San Gianetta is also a dining option at Covington Yards, alongside Hungry Omar’s Sliders and El Jeffes Cubanos.
“Cincinnati has always been home to us,” Dion said, “and we’re thrilled to be permanently putting down roots in the same community that has welcomed us so warmly.”
The San Gianetta location is expanding its menu, with Dion serving upscale comfort food like blackened salmon, shrimp and grits and mac and cheese bowls. The expanded menu also includes a “giant” chicken sandwich, the owner said.
The restaurant offers dine-in, takeaway and delivery options.
The restaurant space itself, formerly home to breakfast spot 6 ‘N The Mornin’, will retain the “cozy, Southern vibe” that San Gianetta is known for, according to the owners.
According to Google, San Gianetta’s kitchen is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant is open daily from noon to 8 p.m. and is also accepting delivery orders.
