The new fact-based series on cosmetic surgery aims to provide people with the information they need to make the right decision about whether or not to undergo surgery.
Vogue Williams and journalist Mobeen Azhar have teamed up for “Plastic Surgery Undressed,” and each episode will feature four other participants who are considering undergoing the same surgery.
Participants will learn more about the surgery, hear stories from people who have previously undergone the procedure, and culminate in a collective viewing of a live stream of the procedure being performed at a nearby hospital.
“I think it’s really important that we all be educated and informed and make safe choices, and the way to do that is through conversation,” Azar said in a video announcing the show.
“I’m a big believer in open discussion. Nothing should be out of bounds or up for debate. So let’s talk about it, then we’ll have the information and we can make the decision that’s right for us.”

Last month, Channel 4’s new series The Surgery, in which participants appeal to a jury of experts and their peers for free access to long-desired cosmetic surgery, was condemned by MPs as “exploitative”.
However, unlike “The Surgery,” participants on “Plastic Surgery Undressed” are not offered any treatment at the end of the show, and are only intended to help them make an informed decision about whether they want to undergo a procedure.
Each episode of the six-part series will cover a different procedure, including rhinoplasty, liposculpture, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, hair transplants and breast reduction.
Plastic Surgery Undressed was inspired by a recent survey which found that almost half of Brits aged 18-34 would consider some form of cosmetic surgery.
