Basalir’s response to the stray animal bill: “I’ll resist until morning”
“This story doesn’t end here.”
“We will unite with the CHP if necessary.”
If necessary, the CHP, the opposition party with the largest number of seats, has the right to bring this to the constitution. We will unite if necessary. From where? Because animals are above politics. Animals are our conscience. We will also appeal to the Constitutional Court. This story does not end here.
“We will pay the price and fight together.”
CHP Malatya Deputy Prime Minister Veli Agbaba also issued the following statement on the matter:
“Today, in a group meeting, our chairman said this. In fact, the solutions to many of the problems we are experiencing today are there. The chairman said: ‘Stand up and fight together.’ We will fight to the end in parliament. But unfortunately, this issue depends on the number of fingers, and unfortunately, their number of fingers is greater than ours. Today, the Teachers’ Occupation Law will be postponed until October. Even if you fight and announce this issue throughout Turkey, it is impossible for them to pass the law. “If it’s the street, don’t be afraid. What will they do? Will they be executed? No way. Nothing can be achieved without paying the price. That price was paid when this country was founded. We will fight together.”
