Baltimore Orioles slugger Anthony Santander had a stellar June, joining a group of incredible players in team history.
According to Baseball-Reference, only two players in Orioles history have hit more home runs in a single month than Santander in June. He hit 13 home runs in 28 games, tying him with Nelson Cruz (May 13, 2014) and Frank Robinson (July 13, 1966) and trailing only Harlond Clift (August 15, 1938) and Jim Gentile (August 15, 1961). It should be noted that Santander’s 28 games were fewer appearances than either of those players.

The 29-year-old Venezuelan is hitting 22 homers and 55 RBIs this season, and while he’s only batting .230, he and Gunnar Henderson and Adoree Rutschman are part of one of the most effective lineups in baseball.
The Orioles enter Tuesday’s game tied for first place in the prestigious American League East Division.
Santander hit a career-high 33 home runs in 2022 and also hit 28 last season.
He’s in the final year of his rookie contract and will be a free agent next season, making him one of the most attractive offensive players on the trade market.
Santander and the Orioles will travel to Seattle to begin their series against the Mariners on Tuesday night, with the first pitch at 9:40pm ET, with Grayson Rodriguez facing George Kirby.
Seattle enters the game leading the American League West with a 47-39 record, but is just 3.0 games behind the Astros.
