Former Fenerbahce chairman Aziz Yildirim, who has announced his candidacy for the presidential election, met with members of parliament.
While providing information about his final contact with Jose Mourinho, Yildirim also made clear his plans for next season.
Yildirim stressed that he had met with the Portuguese manager again and said: “To be champions, first you have to have a good team. You have to have a good coach and good management. There is management. We will bring in a good coach. We will bring in Mourinho as coach, who will bring the team their first victory in at least three years,” he said.
“Mourinho watched both the Derby and Istanbulspor games.”
Yıldırım continued:
“I will meet with Mourinho on Saturday in London. Mourinho himself said that he watched both the derby and the Istanbulspor match. I think he will also talk about the transfer that will take place on Saturday. We will sign the player he wants! We will discuss it with him. We will prepare whatever is necessary for him and the team, we will do whatever he wants, there will be no problem, you should know that there will always be money at Fenerbahçe.”
Meanwhile, Mahmud Uslu, whose name is on Aziz Yildirim’s board of directors, said: “I don’t know if the dear president will go to London to meet us on Saturday. We went there earlier and met him. Mr. President, there was also a meeting, but I don’t know if it will end on the 1st or the 2nd.”
Aziz Yildirim denied reports that he would not go to London, saying:
“The news that spread on social media today that I will not be going to London is a lie. As I stated in my meeting with MPs and fans, I will be in London on Saturday to watch the Champions League final. I repeat, I will not be going to London.” In his speech, he said he would meet face-to-face with manager Jose Mourinho and asked “the public not to trust the manipulative news that is being circulated apart from my own words.”
