Ayse Ateş, the wife of assassinated former Ulucu Ocaklar President Sinan Ateş, wrote a letter to Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç and Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
Ayşe Ateş said there was a dark hand trying to cover up her husband’s murder and demanded that this darkness be brought to light.
Ankara prosecutor Ayse Ateş, Ayhan Ay, who first launched an investigation into her husband’s murder and later had the file taken away from her husband, was sent to the Ankara District Court by Ankara Deputy Prosecutor-General Durdu Özer, who dismissed the Ankara prosecutor during the investigation. The court conducted an investigation into the position of Orhun Haber, who is alleged to belong to the Hakyol organization.
Ayşe Ateş summed up what happened and the inadequacies of the indictment, saying: “Except for those who obtained information before my wife Sinan Ateş was murdered and forwarded it to the Center, and the representatives of the Center to whom the information was forwarded, this indictment is as logical as the fact that people who did not know each other met on the street and decided to kill my wife Sinan Ateş. ” “It created an image that did not fit,” he said.
“Once we expose this dark hand that is clearly protecting the killers, this political murder will come to light on all sides,” Ayse Ateş said.
Ayşe Ateş’s letter is as follows:
“This is an open letter to our respected Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunci @yilmaztunc and our respected Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya. Dear Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunci, we recently met with you in the presence of our respected President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During our meeting, I expressed my thoughts on aspects that I believe are missing in the indictment, but later realized that I had not presented you with a very important issue. For this reason, I do not think it is appropriate to ask a question. I would like to ask you to spare some of your time, but I would like to remind you of the public opinion that has been formed so far, and I have decided to write this open letter to inform our citizens who have just learned about the political murder case.
As you all know, my husband, Sinan Ateş, an honored scholar of this country, was martyred by hired assassins in the center of Ankara on December 30, 2022. Thanks to the prosecutor who was first assigned to the case after the heinous murder, this political murder could not be covered up.
I say this incident could not have been covered up because the events that followed this assassination, carried out in a nasty way, show that there was a shadowy presence to protect all or some of the 22 people arrested in connection with this political murder and the 17 people targeted in the case. Investigations are ongoing and there are indications that this political murder was attempted to be covered up by disguising it as an ordinary street fight.
I will recite a chronological list of events that led me and our beloved people to this conclusion, some of which I have previously shared with you under other titles.
1-) Some of those currently in custody have been detained and released multiple times. During these few days of release, some of them had broken cell phones, some replaced their phones, and some suffered from memory loss to the point that they forgot their cell phone passwords. Thus, important evidence for solving this heinous murder case was lost. With your permission, and to enlighten the public who read this open letter, I must state the following: What I have said is confirmed by the statements of the perpetrators at the prosecutor’s office and is included in the indictment.
2-) Firstly, the “FETO” allegations were made by a certain group against the prosecutors who handled this case, ensuring that the culprits were arrested one by one and the evidence was revealed one by one, after which our precious prosecutors were fired from duty.
3-) The number plate of a black Audi branded car bearing plate number 06 AT 5021, identified through PTS records and believed to have been driven by the hitman, Elay Ojachi, and traced in stages, as well as information about who it belongs to, was also revealed, which is not included in the indictment.
4-) Only three lines were allocated in the indictment to the page-long statement of Sinan Ateş’s confidant, partner and life partner, that is, his wife, me.
5) The statements of close friends of my husband, Sinan Ateş, contain important clues to solving this political murder case, but not a single line about them was found in the indictment.
6) By excluding from this indictment the person who obtained the information about my wife, Sinan Ateş, and forwarded it to the Center before she was murdered, as well as the representative of the Center to whom the information was forwarded, you have created an unfair image of people who did not forward the information, who knew each other, met on the street and decided to kill my wife, Sinan Ateş. It is necessary to open the brackets here to enlighten the public who have just learned about this heinous murder. The persons whose files were separated are mentioned by name in the current indictment, and the correspondence between them is supported by expert reports.
Dear Ministers,
If we convert all this into a Venn diagram, there will undoubtedly be cross-clusters that will clearly show who and what this dark hand is trying to protect and what truths it is trying to hide from the public.
“As you know, many people and institutions claim that they are responsible for this political murder, which has been on the agenda of the country for a year and a half, creating a situation that is tense in society, both socially, politically and in terms of conscience. I believe that if we expose this dark hand that is apparently protecting the murderers, this political murder will be revealed from all sides. In this way, the guilty and the innocent will be separated in this political murder and the innocent will be saved from being accused. What is most important is that this wound that bleeds in the conscience of society will be healed and the belief in justice of our beloved people will regain its spirit again. Sincerely yours.”
