LOVELAND, Ohio — Food pantries around the tri-state area are seeing more and more people coming in looking for help, and Life Food Pantry in Loveland is no exception.Executive Director Linda Bergholz said the pantry is being used by people who have never needed assistance before – many from communities who may not be food insecure.”Loveland is a very affluent community, but there are areas throughout the area that need help that people are completely unaware of,” she said. Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert reached some major career milestones this week, earning his first career All-Star selection on Sunday, and adding another milestone to his list of accomplishments on Tuesday.Gilbert struck out seven batters in Tuesday’s 8-3 win over the San Diego Padres, bringing his total to 606 in 107 career games.According to a tweet from StatsCentre, Gilbert achieved this milestone in the fifth-fewest games played in Mariners history.Logan Gilbert, who will start tonight against the Padres, has 599 strikeouts in his MLB career and is just one away from reaching 600 as a member of the team.…

I now have a piece of Ellicott City history.Phoenix Upper Main owner Mark Hemmis rescued bricks from the old Phoenix Emporium building on Lower Main Street. He sells them for $40 and donates all proceeds to local charities. Mark rescued 300 bricks from a dining room wall that collapsed in the 2018 flood. He stored them in a friend’s yard for four years before cleaning them with a pressure washer and adding a commemorative plaque to each one.
