Beginning Friday, July 12th, the South Texas Food Bank will begin distributions for their senior citizens program in Slaughter Park on the second Friday of each month.The distribution, which was previously held at San Jose Catholic Church, has been moved to Slaughter Park to avoid heavy traffic in the Meadows and to ensure the safety of staff and the community. Distribution will take place from 7 to 10 a.m. The STFB Commodity Supplemental Food Program currently serves 14,000 seniors throughout South Texas.
