Slovak Prime Minister under gun attack
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was attacked on May 15 in the town of Handlova, about 200 kilometers (120 miles) from the capital, Bratislava, as he was greeting people waiting outside a building after a cabinet meeting.
According to the country’s media, 71-year-old Slovak national Juraj C. organised the attack because he did not like government policies.
Without wasting time, Fico, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds in his body, was transported by ambulance helicopter to Roosevelt Hospital in Banska Bystrica province for emergency intervention.
Fico recently released a statement saying he is in good health.
