The WNBA has had some history-making rookies.
Sky forward Angel Reese entered Sunday’s game against the Lynx with nine straight double-doubles, tying the longest streak in league history.

Reese’s mother, Angel, watched nervously as she stepped to the free throw line and recorded nine points and at least 10 rebounds, recording her 10th consecutive double-double.
She passed Candace Parker, who had nine double-doubles in 2015.

Reese made the free throw, the Chicago crowd responded with roars of joy, and her relieved mother applauded and double-high-fived someone in front of her.
The free throw cut the Lynx lead to 70-62, but unfortunately for the Sky, the game remained that way and they fell to 6-11 on the WNBA season.

Coming into this game, Reese was averaging 13.5 points and 11.1 rebounds, with 4.8 of those coming on the offensive end.
The Lynx have emerged as one of the best teams in the league, going 14-4 this season and next facing the Liberty on Tuesday at Barclays Center.
