Jordanian lightweight boxer Bader “The Master” Al Dehrat (11-0, 8 KOs) defeated Orlando Mosquera (13-3-1, 2 KOs) by 10-round split decision in the main event of the Rising Stars Arabia (RSA) Series at the Space 42 Arena in Abu Dhabi.
The 23-year-old Al Delat, Jordan’s first professional boxer, faced the toughest test of his young career in a match against Mosquera, who had won 10 of his 12 fights to date and drawn one.
Moroccan super featherweight Moussa Gholam (22-1, 13 KOs) produced an impressive performance, defeating previously unbeaten China’s Linjie Xia (9-1-2, 2 KOs) via 10-round unanimous decision.
Indian welterweight Faizan Anwar (18-0, 9 KOs) is aiming to become the first Indian professional boxing world champion, but was pushed to his limits by 2017 French national champion Nurali Erdogan (15-3, 1 KO). The 22-year-old Anwar, who was ranked number one pound-for-pound in his native India before moving to Dubai five years ago, defeated the Frenchman by a 10-round split decision.
Al Nuaimi, a popular super flyweight boxer from the UAE, remained undefeated when he defeated Tanzania’s Muhsin Kizota (20-5, 12 KOs) by unanimous decision in 10 rounds. Al Nuaimi was a two-time national amateur champion and became the first Emirati boxer in history to win at the Asian Games.
Super featherweight Fahad “Kid Emirati” Al Burushi (15-1, 3 KOs) extended his winning streak to 14 bouts by defeating Tanzania’s Ibrahim “The Puncher” Makubi (11-3-1, 6 KOs) by unanimous decision in six rounds.
Also competing on the undercard, Egyptian welterweight Marwan Mohammad Madbouli (4-0, 2 KOs) won a six-round unanimous decision over Ibrahim “The Puncher” Makubi (11-3-1, 6 KOs). Egyptian super featherweight Mostafa Mohammad Fahmi Khomsan (3-0, 3 KOs) defeated Tanzania’s Ibrahim Mwalami (4-2-1, 1 KO) by technical knockout in the second round. Lebanese super middleweight Nadim Saloum (13-2, 6 KOs) knocked out India’s C. Ralful Aitoluanga (7-2, 3 KOs) in the fourth round. Ugandan lightweight champion “King” Fahad Mulindwa (8-4, 34 KOs) defeated Egypt’s Mohamed Salah Abdelghany (4-5, 0 KOs) in just two rounds.
In the other three supporting bouts, Kuwaiti super welterweight Eisa Aidan (2-0, 0 knockouts) defeated Pakistan’s Shahzada Sohail (0-5) by four-round unanimous decision, Syrian heavyweight Kenan Marai (2-0, 2 knockouts) defeated Afghanistan’s professional debutant Ahmadzai Abdullahi (0-1) midway through the first round and British flyweight Tony “Lightning Jr.” Curtis (7-1, 3 knockouts) defeated India’s Ismaila Khan (1-2, 1 knockout) by points in the sixth round.
