The scandalous conversation was broadcast live on TRT Sports’ show Sports Studio. Following the speech about “sexual content” that caused a huge stir on social media, TRT announced to the public that they had suspended their staff.
A scandal has broken out on the screens of TRT Spor. During a live broadcast of the “Sports Studio” program, where EURO 2024 matches are being commented on, Elbatur Ergenekon and Seyla Büyükzun were heard making “sexual” remarks behind the camera during a conversation.
The broadcast was quickly interrupted as an unknown voice was heard saying, “Let’s go to a hotel and pump until 2am.”
Confused about what to do after the broadcast was interrupted, the TRT Spor presenter said: “Such interruptions can happen from time to time in live broadcasts.”
TRT Spor released a statement on the incident, saying it had fired the staff member whose speech was shown on screen.
“Some unacceptable speeches were reflected in the broadcast of the “Spor Studio” program, which was broadcast live on the TRT Spor channel.
An investigation was immediately launched to identify those responsible for the incident and determine necessary punishment.
The staff involved have been suspended pending the completion of the investigation.
