A British mother of three has died after undergoing cosmetic surgery in Turkey.
Demi Agoria, 26, died on the same day she was due to return to her home in Salford, Greater Manchester, after complaining of chest pains days after undergoing butt lift surgery in Brazil.
She was on her way back to an Istanbul clinic for post-surgery tests on Thursday when she suffered a heart attack in the taxi as her partner Bradley Jones desperately tried to administer CPR.
She was taken to intensive care and unfortunately passed away on Monday.
Demi, whose youngest son is seven months old, is believed to have suffered repeated heart attacks due to fat embolism.
She flew to Turkey for the surgery despite having previously undergone “failed” dental work and another procedure.

Demi’s heartbroken brother Karl said her family and partner had tried to persuade Demi to quit her job, and warned anyone considering traveling to Turkey for surgery not to do so. .
Mr Karl, 37, told The Sun newspaper: “What happened is a tragedy.” we are just shocked. She went to Istanbul to do it.
“She had been to dental work before. No one wanted her to go out and do it, but she is one of them.
“Her partner is still overseas and his father has just flown there to be with him.
“If anyone is thinking of flying to Turkey for surgery, I say don’t do it. Even her boyfriend didn’t want her to do it.
“But she’s 26 and has her own thoughts. Her mother didn’t want her to go out either.
“We hear that her boyfriend had to perform CPR on her in the taxi.
“We both went back to the clinic for tests and we believe she collapsed in the clinic.
“They put her in a taxi with her partner. Something happened in the taxi. She couldn’t breathe.
“He had to do CPR. We don’t know if she came back and died at the hospital. It’s vague. We don’t know the details.
What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a surgery in which your doctor moves fat from your abdomen, hips, hips, or thighs to your buttocks.
As a result, your buttocks will become larger, giving you an hourglass figure.
Also, if you have fat in your abdomen or hips, it can make your waist smaller.
Doctors use liposuction to remove fat.
Risks include injecting fat too deeply and causing fat emboli. In a fat embolism, fat enters the bloodstream and travels to the heart and lungs, where it can eventually block arteries and veins.
In 2022, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) issued new guidelines for its members, following a four-year suspension of BBL procedures in the UK due to concerns over mortality.
The journal recommends that surgeons inject only subcutaneous fat, rather than deep into the muscle as with BBL.
“I think there’s a coroner’s report over there. Her partner needs a death certificate before he can go home.”
“She was only 26 years old and should not have died. The risk is so high that she should never do it. She should never have done that. She left behind three young children.
“I was just told this morning. Her two older children were out with their father and reportedly returned home early. She also has a 7-month-old baby.”
Demi’s sister Georgina also paid emotional tribute to Demi on TikTok, saying: “I lost my sister yesterday.” I miss Demi so much. Nothing feels real anymore. Why did she disappear?
“I just want to hear you scream, okay, nothing will change without you, I love you, Demi x.”
