Mr. Şimşek said that the effective fight against tax evasion and evasion continues, and made the following assessment:
“Our Department of Revenue has launched a new channel to make it easier and faster for citizens to notify. As a result of a tax audit on your notification, you will receive a notification bonus of 10 percent of the tax amount and based on the information provided. The amount stated in the notice will be paid. ”

According to an announcement on the website of the Revenue Department, within the scope of the Ministry’s efforts to combat the unregistered economy, in order to allow citizens to easily and quickly submit notifications and complaints at any time (24/24/) 7 ), Revenue Agency, Digital Tax Office, GİB Mobile and Tax Communication Center (VİMER) (189) service websites have been updated.
The President also launched the “BIP Tax Notification Service”, X and Instagram reporting accounts (via “DM Direct Message” via “gibihbar”), and a WhatsApp reporting line (05521890189).
Nationals using these methods may be subject to lower VAT rates, require payment by IBAN/PTT cheque, not issue receipts/invoices, use another company’s POS device, not keep liability records, issue or use false/misleading documents, pay employee salaries directly, and may be served with tax notices for issues such as loss of rental income, non-filing, underpayment of title fees, sale of smuggled products, etc.
Meanwhile, citizens who wish to request information about audit procedures should submit notices and complaints by calling the VIMER reporting line (189) or obtaining the registration number from gib.gov.tr or the Tax Notifications section of the Digital Tax Office.
