Turkey: Mountain View residents Bill and Marcia Adler began their international adventure in Cappadocia by visiting Turkey, Greece and the Aegean Sea. “This is Cappadocia, where we are faced with unique and awe-inspiring rock formations that have been inhabited for centuries and still are today,” says Bill. “Turkey is a fascinating and surprising country that is worth spending at least a week in. Istanbul, Cappadocia and Ephesus are not to be missed.”
Travel Tip: “In addition to exploring the Cappadocia landscape, you can also take part in a whirling monk ceremony (yes, it’s real) or visit pottery and carpet-making studios to purchase authentic handcrafted items.”
