Kenan Işık was born on October 1, 1947 in Malatya. He is an actor, presenter, former journalist and former main news presenter. He is especially known for the TV show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”.
The son of a retired railway officer, Kenan İşik began performing amateur theatre at the Malatya Community Centre during his secondary education and completed his high school education in Ankara, where he studied in the same class as Ürüş Bardakçi. During this period he also made his way to the square stage.
Işık graduated from the Department of Public Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Gazi University and became an artist of the State Directorate of Theaters in 1972.
İşık also served as the general artistic director of the Municipal Theatre. The artist has written many plays throughout his ongoing career. He worked for the newspapers Yeni Yüzyıl (1995-1998), Yeni Binyıl (2000), and Akşam (2000-2002).
She appeared on TV screens in the TV series “Dadı”, where she played a leading role alongside Gülben Ergen and Haldun Dolmen.
In 2005, Kenan İşik met Erdoğan Aktash and began performing Star Harbor on April 4, 2005.
Kenan Ishq, who stopped giving news on June 12, 2005, left Star Harbour on August 20, 2005 and returned to acting.
The artist was also the host of the “Who Wants to be Half a Millionaire” contest, which became a phenomenon among Turkish television under the guidance of Osmantan Erkul, and continued to host the “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” contest under a new name.
What happened to Kenan Isik?
It was discovered that on March 21, 2014, Ishq had gone into a sauna after exercising, felt unwell after the sauna, lost his balance and hit his head on the ground. Ishq was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and underwent surgery immediately.
The operation lasted four hours and it was stated that the artist’s life was at risk.
The artist, who was in a coma for 10 years after the incident, continued his treatment at home.
