Veysel Aydomış, a father who was on a picnic trip to Adana with his wife and two children, was driving a car that went out of control on the Çataran Bridge and crashed into the Seyhan Dam Lake. None of the four people in the car survived.
The car driven by Veysel Aydomış went out of control while traveling on Çataran Bridge in the Topalak district of Çukurova province, went over the iron fence and fell into the Seyhandam Lake. After receiving reports from people in the vicinity, police, health corps, fire brigade and underwater teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
Teams were able to reach the vehicle which had fallen into the lake and began work to rescue four people, including two children from the same family, who were reportedly inside.
They were identified
The four family members in the car have been identified as the driver, Veysel Aydomüsh (37), his wife, Emine Aydomüsh (35), and their children, Batuhan Aydomüsh (16) and Mete Aydomüsh (13).
Their life form was discovered
The body of Batuhan Aydmus was found first, before the team removed the bodies of Veysel Aydmus, his wife Emine Aydmus and their child Mete Aydmus from the vehicle.
The car was lifted up to the bridge by a crane. Family members shed tears at the accident scene after hearing the tragic news. During the work, relatives of the family argued with the team to speed up the work. The bodies of Veysel, Emine, Mete and Batuhan Ayddu, who were said to have been on their way to a picnic, have been taken to the morgue for an autopsy. Veysel Aydmuş was found to have worked in a restaurant.
