According to the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), the north and east of the country will be partly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms expected in the eastern Black Sea coast, northeastern Eastern Anatolia, Van, Artvin and Ordu. It will be partly cloudy and sunny in the eastern part of Giresun, western part of Trabzon, and around Kars, Ardahan, Eidur and Ağrı.
According to Soşç news, MGM said no significant changes in temperatures are expected and temperatures across the country are expected to remain above seasonal norms. Winds are expected to be weak and sometimes moderate in intensity along the Mediterranean coast and in southeastern Anatolia, mostly from the north, south and west.
Heavy rain warning issued for six cities
MGM also warned of heavy rains in some cities. “Localized heavy rains are expected in and around eastern Giresun, western Trabzon, Kars, Ardahan, Eidul and Ağrı, so please be aware of possible adverse effects (flooding, inundation, strong winds),” the MGM statement said. “People should be aware of possible rains and transport disruptions.”
The Meteorological Service’s warning for the central and eastern Black Sea region said, “It is estimated to be partly very cloudy with localized showers and thunderstorms occurring tonight around the eastern Black Sea coast, Artvin and Ordu, and eastern Samsun. Rains will become heavy. Eastern and eastern Giresun. “Localized strong intensities are expected in the western part of Trabzon.”
“Partly lightly cloudy and very cloudy in places in the northeast with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected in Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, Ağrı, Eğidur and Van,” the MGM’s Eastern Anatolian alert said.
