In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Rohit Bodha, group managing director, JB Bodha Group, said, “The key to elevating your overall travel experience is to blend comfort, professionalism and practicality. One of your top priorities when preparing for a trip is choosing an outfit that strikes the perfect balance between comfort and looking professional. This is especially important at networking events and meetings. When you’re comfortable, you can focus on making meaningful connections. Another aspect of effective travel is to pack light.”

He suggests: “Prioritize an adaptable, versatile wardrobe that you can mix and match as you move between business and leisure. Opt for wrinkle-resistant fabrics, comfortable shoes in neutral colours that go with everything, and pack essentials like a travel-sized toiletry kit with only what you really need. Technology has revolutionised the way we travel. On business trips, you use tablets to track meetings, organise your schedule, and get real-time updates on what’s happening in the city you’re visiting. Make sure to bring a travel adapter and a power bank – both are travel essentials. This tech-enabled approach will make your business trips better planned and more productive.”

As for tips to make the most of your international trip, Rohit Kohli, Managing Director, Away&Co, suggests:
Choose your destination based on your interests and travel personality instead of chasing the latest social media trends. These places are often unnecessarily crowded and expensive. Travel bloggers and celebrities make traveling look easy, but improvising while traveling often results in a disastrous experience. It is a much better idea to plan your trips and experiences in advance. It is a much better idea to choose a hotel or place to stay that is close to your planned activities rather than staying far from the city. If you are spending the same amount on your travels, you are not saving on your stay. Keep loose change and small denomination notes of major currencies handy. It is not practical to exchange large amounts of money at the airport, as the exchange rate is usually much higher and you will end up losing money. Immerse yourself in the local culture and look for experiences away from the main tourist sites. Focus on the highlights, but also try to live like a local at least for a while. Try local cuisine instead of sticking to only Indian food or fast food. It can be challenging and scary, but it will give you a whole new experience. And you will never know until you try. Take your time to choose the right travel partner. Who you travel with determines your experience. The right travel partner is the ideal choice as they can tailor your experience based on your personal interests. {{^userSubscribed}} {{/userSubscribed}} {{^userSubscribed}} {{/userSubscribed}} Don’t miss out on the best deals on laptops, TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, and other home appliances and furniture in the Prime Day Sale 2024.
