The fight against forest fires continues.
Extreme heat caused forest fires in parts of western and southern Turkey yesterday.
The fires, which broke out in the Havran and Ayvalik districts of Balikesir and in the Aksu district of Antalya, have been extinguished.
Intervention continues on fires that broke out in two different locations in the Ayvacik and Bayramic districts of Çanakkale and Banaz district of Çanakkale.

Forest fires in two different locations in Usak
The fire in the Banaz district of Uşak city started from two different points.
The fire, which broke out around 6pm yesterday, broke out in the forest between the villages of Kizilkaoren and Kushdemir, and in a forested area near the village of Kayar in central Usak.

The fire spread rapidly due to the wind.
Following the report, numerous water tankers, fire engines, construction machinery, helicopters and aircraft were dispatched to both areas.

The fire, which broke out in the forest between the villages of Kizilkaoren and Kusdemir, was extinguished from the air by four helicopters and two planes, while firefighting teams on the ground worked to extinguish the blaze.
Aerial intervention ended as the weather darkened, but firefighting efforts continued uninterrupted from the ground with 95 vehicles and 309 personnel.
Special forces from the Usak Gendarmerie Command were also deployed to the fire area to join the firefighting efforts.

Uşak Provincial Governor Turan Ergün, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Fakhril Semiz, Banaz Governor Kuma Emeş, and Banaz Mayor Zafer Alpak visited Kizilkaoren village in Banaz province and inspected the areas affected by the fire.
Providing information on the firefighting operations, Governor Ergün said the fire underwent heavy intervention by air and ground, “We have evacuated 11 houses in Kızılkaoren village as a precautionary measure. Four helicopters and two planes intervened in the Banaz fire. Land intervention will continue with 95 vehicles and 309 personnel from Uşak and surrounding provinces. “Currently the land intervention is continuing,” he said.

Governor Ergün said 44 vehicles and 112 personnel intervened on land to fight a simultaneous fire in Kayar, connected to the center, “as well as two helicopters.” “There is no threat to any settlements here,” he said. Teams continue to work without interruption to control the ongoing fires in the two areas.

Fire intervention continues in Canakkale Bayramci
The fire broke out yesterday at noon in the Bayramici district of Çanakkale.
The fire that broke out at the Balajitepe location is being intervened by air and land.
On being informed, a team from the Regional Forest Directorate along with land and air vehicles were deployed to the area.
Teams are continuing their efforts to extinguish the fire.

Second fire breaks out in Canakkale, Ayvacik
The city’s second fire broke out in Ayvacik.
A fire of unknown origin broke out in a forest area near the Gemédere Stream.
Following the notification, teams and ground vehicles from the Çanakkale Regional Forestry Office and the Ayvacik Forest Management Office were dispatched to the area.
Teams are continuing their efforts to extinguish the fire.
