MARSHALL – The 2024 Crazy Days will return on Thursday, July 18, bringing activities, food, deals and shopping to the city.
The event will take place on Main Street, which will be closed to traffic all day, from 7am to 6pm and is free for the public to attend. Presented by the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature food trucks, deals from area restaurants and shopping vendors, kids’ activities and entertainment all day long. The same day will also feature “3rd 3rd 3rd,” a farmers market with live music, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
“I love seeing the community come together,” said event coordinator Mavi Valentin. “I love the craziness of Crazy Days. It seems like there’s movement and activity everywhere.”
You can also enjoy shopping and activities at the stores and restaurants on Main Street.
“All the vendors and downtown businesses are setting up outside so we’re all out on the street,” Valentin said. “Everybody’s selling at crazy prices.”
This year the number of exhibitors has increased significantly compared to last year.
In addition to the sale, there will be several family-friendly activities throughout the day, including an arts, crafts and zoo from 4 to 6 p.m., a children’s parade starting at 10:30 a.m. and a candy drop at 3:30 p.m.
“It’s a lot of fun for the kids,” Valentin said. “Right after the kids’ parade is over, the kids have a dance party here on the terrace with popsicles. It was a big hit last year. It was really cute.”
The weather for Crazy Days is looking good so far, with temperatures expected to be around 78 degrees and sunny. New announcements will be posted on the event’s official Facebook page.
“I think (visitors) need to check out all the vendors,” Valentin said. “The vendors are a lot different this year, and I’m excited to see what they’ll bring.”
