AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler said he would issue a statement on the study on minimum pensions when a meeting is held in the coming days.
The minimum pension increase is over. Regarding this issue, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler said that he would submit a proposal to increase the minimum pension to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan this evening.
Güler continued:
“What the possible budgets are, this needs to be determined. We will collect the relevant analysis and submit it to the President as of tonight and to the Speaker of the National Assembly tomorrow. This will be made clear in the evening, it is not appropriate for me to give the figures, but there are alternatives, we are considering them.”
The increase, which will affect millions of retirees, is expected to increase the minimum pension to 12,000-13,000 lira.
When is the pension paid?
Although Bağ-Kur and SSK are combined into one institution, the payment dates differ between institutions. The last two digits of the pension allocation number are taken into account when determining the payment date for Bağ-Kur and SSK retirees. Bağ-Kur retirees whose last two digits of their retirement allocation number are 5, 7, and 9 receive their pension on the 25th of every month. Those with numbers 3 and 1 are entitled to receive their salary on the 26th of every month, and those with numbers 4, 6, and 8 are paid on the 27th of every month. The final salary payment date for Bağ-Kur retirees is the 28th of every month, which also includes those whose last two digits of their retirement allocation number are 0 and 2.
SSK retirees will receive their salary according to the last digit of their quota number. Those with a last digit of 9 are entitled to receive their salary on the 17th of every month, those with a last digit of 7 on the 18th, those with a last digit of 5 on the 19th, those with a last digit of 3 on the 20th and those with a last digit of 1 on the 21st. Those with a last digit of 8 on their retirement quota number will be paid on the 22nd, those with a last digit of 6 on the 23rd, those with a last digit of 4 on the 24th, those with a last digit of 2 on the 25th and those with a last digit of 0 on the 26th of every month.
The difference paid to the lowest pensioners can exceed 100 percent.
A retiree with a basic salary of 6,000 lire is given a salary of 10,000 lire, so the difference is 66%. If a retiree with a basic salary of 6,000 lire is given a salary of 13,000 lire, the difference grows to 116%.
