A fire of unknown cause broke out in forest, makis and grassland areas in Delikliköy, Alacati district, Çeşme district, Izmir.
Following the notification, two aircraft, four helicopters, 16 water tankers, three water vehicles, three bulldozers and ground crews belonging to the Izmir Regional Forestry Directorate were dispatched to the area.
Following intervention, the fire was brought under control.

In areas where the fire spread quickly due to winds, residents of some homes were evacuated as a precaution.
A woman and two children who were in the area close to the fire were removed from the area by military police.

Three bodies were found
Three people were still missing after the fire was put out.
According to information obtained by Nippon Television, shortly after the fire broke out, the two families split into two groups to try to escape the fire when they saw the flames approaching. As the team was trying to rescue the victims from the flames, they discovered three dead bodies, two men and one woman.
The prosecutor’s office reportedly launched an investigation into the remains found on the property, which were identified as those of Mesut Coskun (68), who owned a house in the area, and members of the same family, Hilmi Coskun (38), and neighbour Main Elmas (35).

Four people were detained
Izmir Governor Suleyman Elvan announced that four people had been arrested on suspicion of starting a fire in a forested area in the Cesme district.
“The four people who started the fire have been detained by military police,” Governor Elvan said in a statement, adding that it was determined the suspects were doing welding and lumber work in their garden and that the blaze was started by sparks flying into the scrub.

A fire of unknown cause broke out in a forested area in the Oglanas region.
Following reports from people in the vicinity, two helicopters, seven water tankers, three water trucks and a bulldozer belonging to the Izmir Regional Forestry Directorate were dispatched to the area.
Teams are working to extinguish the fire.

Around noon, a fire of unknown cause broke out in a forest in the Danish district of Soma City.

Following the notification, one plane, two helicopters, ten water tankers, five water vehicles and two bulldozers belonging to the Izmir Regional Forestry Directorate were dispatched to the area.

The evacuation has begun
The fire, which began in the Danish district, surrounded the Tekelishklar district on both sides, forcing the evacuation of the neighborhood.
Announcing that all nearby residents had been evacuated with the support of the Soma Municipal Government, Soma County Governor Fatih Akkaya said, “We tried to put the fire under control at noon, but it spread again due to strong winds. Tekelishklar began threatening fires rapidly from both sides of the village, but our municipality has also dispatched vehicles to transport people. There are very strong winds blowing. We will prevent loss of life and property.” he said.

A fire of unknown cause broke out in farmland near the village of Kaycular in the Bayramici district of Çanakkale.

The wind caused the fire to spread to surrounding land and forest areas.
On being informed, a team from the Regional Forest Directorate along with land and air vehicles were deployed to the area.
