The final excitement of EURO 2024, hosted by Germany, took place as Spain and England faced off at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
Spain won 2-1 in a breathtaking final seconds victory to become Euro 2024 winners.
Spain scored through Nico Williams in the 47th minute and Oyarzabal in the 86th minute, while England’s Cole Palmer scored in the 73rd minute.
An astonishing last-minute ranking
England came very close in the 90th minute when Rice headed in a corner from the left, Simon headed it in and Guehi cut it back towards goal, only for Olmo to clear it on the line.
4th Spanish Championship! A record…
So far, Germany and Spain have the most victories in the history of the European Football Championship. In the last 16 editions, the two countries have each had three happy endings. Spain beat England in the match played today and became the most successful country in history to win the cup for the fourth time. The Spanish team has reached the final four times and had happy endings in 1964, 2008 and 2012, and was runner-up in 1984.
England loses again in the final!
England, who have never won Europe in their history, lost in the finals of Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, continuing their cup aspirations.

Lamine Yamal will go down in history
Spanish young star Lamine Yamal made history in the final.
Playing in the final the day after his 17th birthday, Yamal broke the record as the youngest player in the history of the championship to play in a final.
Born on 13 July 2007, Yamal now breaks the record held by Renato Sanches, who was 18 years and 328 days old when he played for Portugal against France in the Euro 2016 final.
Britain dominates in the stands
During the final between Spain and England, most of the stands were filled with English fans.
There was huge British interest in the final, which was played at the Olympic Stadium in the German capital, Berlin.
The British team filled most of the stands in Berlin, where they had come to compete for a first-ever European Championship.
Closing session
The closing ceremony of EURO 2024 took place before the Spain vs England match.
The Berlin-based Lunatics Dance Company performed in a show themed “Handshake.” The ceremony ended with a fireworks display.
Before the match, Giorgio Chiellini, captain of defending champions Italy, brought the championship cup onto the field.
England fans whistled in protest when Italy captain Chiellini came onto the pitch after losing the Euro 2020 final.
