Former CHP chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu told CHP Bolu Mayor Tancu Ozkan that “you are like a loose cannon” and called on him to “come to his senses.”

The conflict that began between Kılıçdaroğlu and Özcan over the X account has intensified.
The battle began with the following message from Ozkan:
“Remember… this time last year I was walking to Ankara under the name CHANGE! Everyone was almost silent! The person for whom I gave up my seat at the end of the march is showing his love for that seat with his actions in Parliament and now. He had 50 loyal MPs. Are you a god or a cult leader? What do you mean, loyal lieutenant?”

Kılıçdaroğlu: I don’t want you to attend my funeral.
Kılıçdaroğlu responded to Ozcan:
“This will be the first and last time I answer you,” Kılıçdaroğlu said, adding:
“Look what they said despite a single word I did not say and my denial of the false news that came out. Your actions have no place within the morality or culture of our party. Republican lawmakers owe allegiance only to the Constitution and country.
You made an insulting remark, and I kept quiet. You threw away the chair that represented the office of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and I kept quiet. But they say that putting a cocky person in your place is like dressing forty orphans…
You are like a loose cannon. You have thrown the party off balance. You are putting the party in difficulty with these statements…No one has said, let me say. Come to your senses…Tanju, how much resentment you have in you…Keep the resentment alive and fearful! “Are you God?” What does that mean? I seek refuge in Allah. “Are you a cult leader?” What does that mean? I have spent my whole life fighting sectarianism.
Criticism is like bread and water for our party, and it is on my mind. But neither I nor the Republican People’s Party will tolerate disrespect, rudeness or impudence. If that day comes, I ask you not to attend my funeral… It would be a pity for you, after all the efforts I made for you…”
I will answer you once and for all.
Look what they said despite the one word I didn’t say and the false news that came out and I denied it.
Your actions have no place in the morality or culture of our party.
Republican lawmakers just respect the Constitution…

Ozkan: I’m not going to that funeral.
Özkan’s response to Kılıçdaroğlu was not delayed. Here are the gist of Özkan’s response:
“I have no particular grudge or hatred against you. I am angry that you have failed for 13 years for the love of your seat and have darkened our future and the future of our children.
I am furious that you have condemned us to a quarter century of Erdogan’s regime.
I cannot bear the fact that, despite all these economic difficulties and foreign policy failures, we cannot topple this incompetent Erdogan and make millions of young people, including my son, cry.
I also marched to Ankara for change, considering this action to be my democratic right. The seat I sat in was my own seat. Let’s not get off topic. You were never an Ataturkist, you filled the party with an almond mustache transferred from the right.
I have never met anyone in my life who has lied as much as you have, and the Party members know it. They also told me not to come to my funeral if you die before me, because I will not be able to say “I forgive you” even if you ask for my forgiveness.
I don’t think you have as much right over me as you claim. I am a member of parliament and I took part in two primary elections where Tayyip Erdogan won in the city of Bolu with a record 65% of the vote both times. Also, be careful with your tone. You are retired and spend your time with your grandchildren, not about politics in general. If you care about the party at all, try to solve newspaper puzzles instead of taking on people like me who have been successful in politics.
Unfortunately, the cause is you and the effect is Erdogan.”
