With just a month until opening day, preparations are underway for the annual Illinois State Fair in Springfield.
Featuring performances from fan-favorite artists, returning and new food vendors, and countless activities, this year’s fair is sure to have something for everyone.
The 2024 Illinois State Fair is scheduled to run from Thursday, Aug. 8th through Sunday, Aug. 18th.
The fair always brings together a variety of food vendors, and this year will be no exception.
In addition to the annual favorites, several vendors will be participating in the fair for the first time this year. Newcomers include Homerun Grill Pizza, Potbelly, Island Noodles and Mickey’s Massive Burritos. A complete list of food vendors can be found here.
This year’s fair will feature a host of star-studded acts on the Main Stand stage, including Keith Urban, Motley Crue, Lil Wayne, Jonas Brothers, Smashing Pumpkins and Miranda Lambert. See the full list of musical guests here.
The fair also features other stages with a variety of shows, contests and performances, as well as classic rides and attractions, from “Thrillville” and the giant slide to the fair’s iconic Butter Cow.
Additionally, the fair will feature vendors and exhibits, which will be announced prior to the start of the event.
