Within the scope of the investigation carried out against the Istanbul social media phenomenon, many suspects, including beauty center owner and social media phenomenon Neslim Güngen and her husband İnanç Güngen, were arrested in simultaneous investigations across 25 provinces. Neslim Güngen’s smiling face as she was loaded into a police car attracted attention.
Officers from the Istanbul Police Financial Crimes Directorate closely followed many people within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor’s Office. MASAK reports, the movements of influencers’ bank accounts and people connected to them were extensively investigated.
As a result of the research, the operation was carried out this morning on beauty centre owner Neslim Güngen and his wife İnanç Güngen, who frequently share images of their luxury consumption moments on their social media accounts.
Following the operations of the Finance Team, Neslim Güngen, his wife İnanç Güngen, and a number of other people were charged with “establishing an organization with the intent to commit crimes” and “laundering the value of assets derived from crimes”. They were detained for “falsification of official documents” and “qualified fraud” in an operation carried out against 134 addresses in 25 provinces, mainly in Istanbul.
The couple responsible for this phenomenon were taken to the Istanbul Provincial Police Financial Crimes Combating Directorate at the Batan Campus for processing.
