AFAD Memiş inspected the flooded Terme and Salipazari districts and received information from the authorities.
In a statement to AA correspondent on a bridge over the Terme River after a meeting held in the Terme district governorate, Oke Memiş said that AFAD is constantly sharing meteorological data with the public in response to risk situations for the safety of residents.
Recalling that an orange alert was issued for the Çalşamba, Terme, Salipazari and Ayvacik districts in eastern Samsun, Memiş said, “Within the scope of the Turkish Disaster Response Plan, the relevant agencies of our country were ordered to gather under the chairmanship of the Samsun Governor. Our Samsun Metropolitan Mayor, our friendly regional governors and mayors, DSI and forestry officials. “With our will, the cooperation of the Gendarmerie, police and AFAD, it was ensured that these meetings would be held without wasting time,” he said.
