OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Regional Food Bank received more than 554,268 pounds of food donations and $72,303 as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ 2024 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, sponsored by OG&E Energy Corp.
During the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, Oklahomans were asked to leave bags of non-perishable food donations by their mailboxes.
On May 11, letter carriers across central and western Oklahoma collected donations along their delivery routes and took them to local post offices for volunteers to sort. In the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, 491 volunteers helped sort donations at 20 post offices.
“We’re so grateful to our friends at the National Association of Letter Carriers. Without their hard work and the help of our volunteers and sponsors, this event wouldn’t be possible,” said Stacey Dykstra, CEO of the Regional Food Bank. “Thanks to the generosity of Oklahomans, Stamp Out Hunger will help keep the shelves full at food pantries across the 53-county Regional Food Bank’s service area.”
Donations from Stamp Out Hunger will benefit local food bank partners in more than 200 communities across Oklahoma.

“Supporting local food banks with a vision that no one goes hungry in Oklahoma is important to our company and the 2,300 employees who work at OG&E,” Walsh added. “The success of this year’s campaign shows that we can all make a difference, and we thank everyone who helped support the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.”
