Salary increases were announced for millions of civil servants and retirees. SSK, Bakur pension increases will be 24.73%, while retired civil servants will receive a 19.31% increase, taking into account the inflation differential and collective agreements. There will be no changes to the salary calculation for those with a basic salary of less than 8,000 TL. Next, we wonder about welfare contributions and minimum pension regulations for retirees. The three formulas for retirees are:
The July salary increase for SSK and Bakul retirees was recently revealed. Retirees will receive a 24.73% salary increase, while retired civil servants will receive a 19.31% salary increase, taking into account the inflation differential and collective agreements. The salary of those earning a basic salary of less than 8,000 TL will remain unchanged. Retirees will continue to receive 10,000 TL, as the 24.73 percent increase applied to 8,000 TL does not translate into a salary increase of more than 10,000 TL.
Currently on the agenda for millions of retirees is whether to provide welfare contributions and what the minimum pension regulations should be. According to Sabah News, three formulas have emerged for retirees, especially for the minimum pension.
Are benefit shares given to retirees?
In recent years, the application of welfare shares has come to the fore in almost every period of increase. In July of this year, expectations in this direction were strengthened. If the inflation rate rises by 10 points to 24.73%, the increase rate will be 35%. For civil servants and retired civil servants, the proportion will reach 30%.
Labour and Social Security Minister Vedat Ishkhan said: “At this point we are not conducting a study on welfare contributions.”
Will pensions be equalized?
It would also be possible to equalize the salary increase rate for all segments, as a method implemented in January. The salary increase rate for SSK and Bakul retirees in January was low and was on par with that of civil servant retirees. The increase rate for retired civil servants in July was lower than that of SSK and Bakul employees. In this case, equalization may occur. Therefore, an equal salary increase can be applied by giving a share of benefits.
