No matter how many times you’ve been to Las Vegas, there’s always something new to see. This year, the Sphere entertainment venue opened with a full lineup of events. A visit to the Sphere also includes the Sphere Experience, which utilizes new technology to deliver amazing experiences like “Postcard from Earth.” Recent concerts have included the Eagles and Dead & Company. At night, the Sphere changes color and presents the best shows in town.
Watch new shows and old favorites
Cirque du Soleil is known for its innovative and jaw-dropping performances at Las Vegas hotels, combining awe-inspiring acrobatics, extraordinary stage sets and some of the world’s most popular music into shows that are beyond words.

Having seen a few Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, I was eager to experience their latest production, “Mad Apple,” at the New York New York Hotel. Like most Cirque du Soleil performances, the show starts before curtain time, so make sure to arrive about 30 minutes early so you can have a drink at the swankiest bar onstage and mingle with the cast. Where else can you order a drink on the same stage as the performance, and see close-ups of magic, New York trivia, and jokes? Only here!
Combining New York’s most iconic landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, with quirky fashion, exciting sporting action and trending sports, it’s the realization of your wildest New York dreams.
Then enjoy non-stop fun with soaring acrobats, dancers, comedians, street performers and music. Utilizing the latest technology, “The Mad Apple” recreates all the excitement and energy of New York City. Just like the city that never sleeps, “The Mad Apple” is sure to take your breath away.
Be sure to check out other Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, including Michael Jackson’s “ONE,” “O,” “KA” and “Mystere.”

We started off at Japanese restaurant Kusanouri where we sampled the Yuzu Kewpie Waigani Roll and the Jidori Chicken and Beef Labata Skewers. We then visited upscale tapas lounge Bar Zuzu where we sampled the Lollipop Wings and Burrata Bruschetta. It was heavenly. Crossroads Kitchen is the pinnacle of plant-based dining and served dishes like spicy rigatoni vodka and roasted baby fennel. Our final stop was Fuhu, which serves Asian-inspired cuisine in a beautiful Japanese flower garden. Some of the main dishes we sampled included crispy tuna, duck fried rice, black pepper beef and a surprise dessert. This experience left us wanting to return to these restaurants to try more dishes.
