A statement from South Korea’s General Staff said North Korea fired a ballistic missile toward the east this morning.
No further details about the missile were given, but the statement said investigations into the matter were continuing, according to AA News.
In a statement on the 26th, the South Korean General Staff reported that a “ballistic missile” launched from near Pyongyang at around 5:30 a.m. local time had traveled 250 kilometers before exploding over the East Sea.
Meanwhile, North Korea has claimed that the activity, which it called a “multi-missile test,” was successful.
