Regarding the news that Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has resigned, journalist Fatih Altayri said he met with a person close to the minister who confirmed his resignation. Altayri also wrote that another minister who will resign from the cabinet may be Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
Altaylı used the following expression in his article:
“Yesterday, for the first time, he didn’t answer my calls, he didn’t call me back. Obviously, something was going on. Then, an hour or two later, I got a call from a name I know who is very close to Minister Koca: ‘Fatih Bey, that job is over,'” he said. Minister Koca has definitely left his position.
“The president could not digest the attack on him by MP Tugba Vral Çolak in Kızılçahmaş and the fact that in this attack the president took Çolak’s side and not his own. He felt very humiliated. After that the problem grew even bigger. “When he did not see even the slightest positive approach, he resigned,” he said. “There has been no official statement for hours now. “Will he give up or back down as a result of the pressure?” I asked.
“No, brother, there is no turning back. This is over. The minister is no longer a minister. “We will probably make a statement if we find new ones, but Mr. Fahrettin Bey is no longer a minister,” he said.
Before hanging up the phone, he added: “Brother, there is a big problem between the organisation and some of the ministers.”
“Party members and those from the organisation do not want an administrative minister. There are also several ministers who do not listen to the unreasonable demands of the organisation and members of parliament. They are doing what they think is right. They create discomfort among this organisation and members of parliament and as soon as they approach the president they start criticising these ministers. Now their target is the Minister of Culture and Tourism. “See what the minister will do if the targets are not met during the tourist season,” he concluded.
