The Anaheim Ducks, a franchise founded in 1993, have had a mixed success story in NHL Draft history, and they have a chance to write a new chapter in that history at the 2024 NHL Draft on June 28 at 7pm ET in Las Vegas.
The Ducks have the third pick in the draft and are hoping to have as much success in 2024 as they did their first.
In the first draft in 1993, the Ducks selected right winger Paul Kariya with the fourth overall pick, becoming the first first-round pick in team history. Kariya went on to become a cornerstone of the franchise, demonstrating his dynamic skill and leadership on the ice.
Kariya was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017.
Recently, the Ducks have drafted with picks No. 2 (2023), No. 3 (2021) and No. 6 (2020).
Who will the Ducks select third overall? It could be Russian Ivan Demidov of SKA St. Petersburg.
