A basket by Jones and a 3-pointer by Stewart gave Atlanta a 12-7 lead midway through the first quarter, and Atlanta trailed for the rest of the quarter before Jones made a 3-pointer with a minute left in the quarter to put the lead at 27-16 and keep the lead in double-digit territory for the rest of the quarter.
Liberty made 36 of 70 field goals (51.4%), 10 of 25 3-pointers and 14 of 15 free throws.
Atlanta (6-9) has lost three straight and five of its last six games. The Dream, who came into the game last in the WNBA in points (75.9 per game) and field goal percentage (39.3%), made 30 of 79 field goals (38%), including 2 of 12 3-pointers (17%).
Tina Charles led the Dream with 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Cheyenne Parker Tyus added 10 points.
Rhyne Howard (ankle), who along with Alisha Gray is averaging 15.4 points per game to lead the team, did not play in Atlanta.
