Florida’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, provides financial assistance to low-income individuals and families to purchase nutritious foods. Payments are being made monthly, but who will be receiving benefits in the last week of June?
The SNAP program is administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and plays a vital role in supporting low-income Florida families and ensuring access to adequate nutrition.
The program reduces food insecurity and supports the health and well-being of vulnerable populations, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. The program also stimulates local economies by providing funds to be spent by grocery stores and other food retailers.
SNAP benefits can be used to purchase a variety of foods, including fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, bread, cereals, and seeds and plants that produce food for the home.
However, SNAP benefits cannot be used to purchase non-food items such as pet food, household supplies, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, vitamins, medicines, or hot, ready-to-eat foods. There are also limitations on purchasing food that will be consumed in a store.
Here are the payments for the last week of June: Based on the case number assigned to the claimant, we reverse the 8th and 9th digits of that number and discard the 10th digit to arrive at the number needed to calculate the payment date.

Is Florida receiving emergency SNAP benefits?
Emergency SNAP benefits are no longer available because they were suspended following COVID-19, but there are programs available that can provide assistance to Floridians affected by local disasters.
If this becomes a presidentially declared event, Floridians who are SNAP recipients will be able to receive additional food benefits to help them get through the crisis, which will be deposited into their Electronic Bank Transfer (EBT) cards.
