Former President Donald Trump spoke about a range of issues at a rally in Philadelphia on Saturday night, repeatedly claiming that the United States is going through a “worst” time in its history.
The presidential candidate spoke primarily to the cheering crowd about the ongoing immigration crisis, which he argued has led to increased crime and fewer jobs.
“We have had the most secure border in the history of our country. We now have the least secure border in the history of the world,” Trump told the Liacoras Center audience.

The Republican front-runner focused on the murder of Rachel Maureen as evidence that immigrants are wreaking havoc in the U.S. Police believe Maureen, a mother of five who lived in Maryland, was raped and massacred by a Salvadoran immigrant who was on the run after killing another girl in his home country.
Trump said even non-violent immigrants pose a risk to national security and that they take jobs, a problem that disproportionately affects black Americans.
President Joe Biden has made the problem worse by letting inflation run rampant under Bidennomics, Trump continued, promising to replace the latter plan with “MAGA-omics.”
“I think this is the worst inflation this country has ever seen,” he said.
“To stop Biden Inflation, I will end Bad Joe’s wasteful spending and put an end to the new Green Scam swiftly.”

Trump’s visit to the Liacoras Center, a 10,200-seat arena in North Philadelphia that hosts Temple University basketball games and a variety of other events, came as polls showed him widening his narrow lead in Pennsylvania over President Biden.
A Marist College poll released last week found that voters in Biden’s home state favor the former president over the incumbent by 2 percentage points (47% to 45%).
Earlier Saturday morning, President Trump visited the Faith and Freedom Union Conference in Washington, D.C., where he boasted about his involvement in overturning Roe v. Wade.
