Yamal is the youngest player
Spaniard Lamine Yamal played against Croatia at the age of 16 years and 338 days, becoming the youngest footballer in the tournament’s history.
The record was previously held by Poland’s Katzper Kozlowski, who competed in the event at the age of 17 years and 246 days.
Bajrami’s fastest goal
Albanian player Nedim Bajrami has scored the fastest goal in the history of the European Championships.
Bajrami broke the record for the fastest goal scored when he scored just 23 seconds into the game against Italy.
The previous record was held by Russian player Dmitri Kirichenko, who scored a goal in 67 seconds for Greece at Euro 2004.
The youngest captain, Szoboszlai
Hungarian footballer Dominik Szoboszlai has become the youngest captain in the championship’s history.
Szoboszlai captained Hungary against Switzerland and set a new record at the age of 23 years and 234 days.

Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo played against the Czech Republic and became the first player to appear in six European Championships.

Portugal defender Pepe has become the oldest player in the history of the European Championships.
Pepe was 41 years and 113 days old when he played for the team in the Czech Republic.
The experienced player broke the previous record of 40 years and 86 days held by Hungarian goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly, who was remembered by football fans for the grey jersey he wore during the match.

With more than 50 million ticket applications, EURO 2024 will be the most highly-sought-after tournament in the organisation’s history.
Of the 2.7 million tickets available for the tournament, about 2.3 million were available for sale to the general public and to team fans.
