16,000 people injured
“On the first day of Eid, about 16,000 people across the country, including 1,274 in Ankara, 840 in Istanbul and 416 in Izmir, applied to our country’s medical institutions for injuries sustained during the sacrifices,” Minister Koca said in a statement.

Minister Koca warned the public, “This situation is occurring because slaughter is not being carried out by professionals. I urge those who have not yet slaughtered an animal to do so with caution.”

“On the first day, about 16,000 people will not be able to enjoy their holidays to the fullest,” Koca said.
