Nationals who wanted to holiday in Rhodes were stopped by Rhodes police after visa applications were issued on arrival to the Greek islands.
Citing overcrowding due to the holiday and tourist season, Rhodes police did not allow entry of nationals with visas at the gate to the island. Nationals who came to the port for sailing between Marmaris and Rhodes had to return from Marmaris port after learning that they could not be picked up due to overcrowding. It turned out that there was no recruitment to the island due to overcrowding, but 473 people who wanted to enter the island by getting a visa at the doorstep within three days could not go to Rhodes. It turned out that nationals with Schengen visas could enter, but it turned out that Rhodes police did not allow entry of nationals who needed a visa at the gate, citing the occupation of the island.
