President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered Eid prayers at the mosque in his Marmaris residence while celebrating Eid with his party members and performing post-prayer rituals.
After the Eid prayers, President Erdogan addressed the nation and said, “Just as the blessed opening of Hagia Sophia Mosque was a blessing for us, may this country also allow the opening of Halemi Sharif. Dear brothers and sisters, as you know, the truth of Eid al-Adha is celebrated by Prophet Ibrahim Aleihselam and Prophet Ismail Aleihselam.”
Speaking briefly at Eid prayers attended by Mugla Provincial Governor Idris Akbuyk, AK Party Mugla MPs and Marmaris Mayor Akar Unlu, Erdogan said:

“Holidays, especially religious holidays, are an opportunity at the moment. We must use this opportunity in the best possible way. We must keep this close relationship alive and maintain it during Eid al-Adha. I hope that there will be no problems with the visit. ” “If our relatives have grudges, we must unite. We must unite. We must come together to resolve this grudge and resentment. We must discard it. There are no excuses. We must overcome these excuses and achieve this. We believe that as a people, we can achieve this. You know, they are the successors of our Prophet, and we have come to this day bearing what the martyrs did in this country. You are all standing, on this occasion, let us recite Fatiha to the souls of all the martyrs and all the souls of the past, congratulate you on your holiday, may God be our friend and helper.
In addition, Marmaris Mayor Akar Unlü expressed his wishes for Marmaris and held talks with President Erdogan after the Eid celebrations.
